As you’ve seen i’ve been in incognito status for almost three months now (you know, school life is always like this, killing every single free time you have..) that’s why I am unable to exert my full energy in blogging :3
But finally, my Christmas vacation started last week that’s why I could now touch the admin page of this site and write something on it. So while in vacation, I decided to slip in and check what’s happening there at the Megatrade Hall, which is the Christmas Toycon.
The very first die-cast X anime convention as they say…Hmm, there’s nothing really new here. Same perks, same booths (though I did saw a Clipper booth there, which is a new guy in the scene) and the same cosplayers as well. Also, did manage to have some talk with ZenHonbu’s JM “The Blocker” Melegrito where he shared some little bits about their site server migration
Overall, the whole thing is just the same with last year’s except that they changed the layout of the event, and added a couple of die-cast cars to camwhore with. I have seen some of the cosplayers from my previous visits on the cons, but as I see, the ninja costumes did decline
saw a bunch of Luffy cosplays there (Though I did not manage to take a pic of them)… hmm, TOEIntyfive hangover?
Well, I did quite enjoy the event, plus, the things on sale were quite cool, in a way. Was tempted to buy that katana umbrella, but I was broke then so I smashed my face on the wall and killed everyone I’ve seen did not buy it. There are some flaws that are evident, such as the lack of Photography area for Cosplay photoshoot (as Kira Hokuten said), Bands who will play something instead of the looping christmas songs (Kinda missed sagashimono for a while…) and a much more large venue. But as far as it goes on a minor con, what they did here was a successful one.
So, here’s a stash of the pictures I took with my trusty digital camera (I wish I had an SLR in hand, some cosplayers want big lenses taking pictures of them ): )
